has over 21 years of experience in immigration law. He began work in Auckland as a lawyer in 1996 for a large litigation and immigration law firm. By 2000 Alastair was specialising solely in immigration work including refugee applications and appeals and appearance on immigration reviews in the New Zealand High Court and Court of Appeal. Alastair set up his own firm in 2001 under the name Monk and McClymont, a two lawyer firm based in central Auckland concentrating solely on immigration. In 2005 Alastair began working on his own as a barrister and solicitor continuing to concentrate solely on immigration work. Since 2005 the firm has expanded and now operates under the name McClymont and Associates. In what spare time Alastair can get he enjoys sailing, mountain biking, travel and spending time with his wife and young children.
Nicole Ann Mitchell graduated from the University of Auckland in 2012 and has a conjoint degree in Law and Arts.
Prior to working at McClymont & Associates, Nicole worked at an Auckland Law Firm practising in immigration law including dealing with a wide variety of temporary and permanent visa applications, appeals, section 61 requests and special directions.
Nicole is born and bred in Auckland and in her spare time enjoys travelling, exercising, cooking and spending time with her friends and family.
Rajiv Singh graduated from the University of Auckland in 2015 with a conjoint Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws. Rajiv spent the first two years of his career practising as a solicitor in property law, but made the decision to transition to immigration law when he joined our firm in April 2018. A born and bred Aucklander, Rajiv can usually be found at Eden Park supporting the local rugby teams, or planning out somewhere new to travel to.
Amesha Rama graduated from the University of Auckland in 2017 and has a Bachelor of Laws. She has been with our firm since April 2017 and is practicing as a Junior Solicitor. She has a passion for people and loves to help out others when she can. Amesha specialises in domestic violence cases, humanitarian appeals and Special Direction requests to the Associate Minister of Immigration.
Outside of work, she loves to travel and the last places she visited were India and Hong Kong. Amesha is a self-proclaimed foodie and enjoys trying out different restaurants around Auckland. She also enjoys attending concerts.

comes from Surat, Gujarat, India; the Diamond city. She graduated from University of Mumbai with a Bachelors of Commerce and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at AIS St. Helens. Priyanka is a Legal Secretary and Trust Account Administrator and speaks English, Hindi and Gujarati fluently. She previously worked for a popular immigration consultancy in Surat. In her spare time, Priyanka enjoys travelling, reading, and badminton.
Aakanksha McClymont has been working with Alastair in this firm for more than 10 years. Originally from Chandigarh in India she graduated with a BA in Psychology but is most proud of her Master's degree in Common Sense. Aakanksha is the point of contact for most clients of the firm looking out for their best interests, helping them navigate the difficulties of the immigration process and managing the workload of the lawyers and admin staff working on the files. Aakanksha loves being busy and when not running the office she loves travel, socialising, exercising, friends and family.
Ramya Sathiyanathan graduated from the University of Auckland and has a conjoint degree in Law and Arts. Prior to working at McClymont & Associates, Ramya was dealing with civil and immigration matters as a Junior at a Barrister's Chambers, with a focus on refugee applications, appeals and judicial reviews. She has experience in Entrepreneur and Investor Category applications, as well as Skilled Migrant and Partnership-based visa applications.
Ramya is originally from Sri Lanka and is fluent in Tamil. She enjoys travelling and has completed an exchange semester in New York during her time at University. In her spare time Ramya enjoys shopping, attending concerts and exercising.
Christy Wang is originally from China, she graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting from AIS in Auckland, New Zealand. She has been a valued member of McClymont and Associates since 2007 where she joined as a Legal Secretary. Christy is fluent in Mandarin and English. In her spare time Christy loves listening to music and watching movies
Diego J. Aranda Teixeira graduated from the University of London (University College), the National University of Singapore, and New York University. Diego is a United States immigration attorney, admitted in New York. Prior to working at McClymont & Associates, Diego worked in immigration litigation and appeals and related matters in Seattle, Washington. Diego assists the firm’s New Zealand lawyers in their work and is qualified to advise on U.S. immigration matters only. Diego speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Shazia Gill is originally from Chandigarh in India. Her current role involves legal secretarial work as she assists the lawyers with their day-to-day tasks, including the preparation of standard documentation for visa applications and court matters, communicating with clients in relation to their applications and providing general administrative support etc. She can speak English, Hindi and Punjabi fluently.
Cori D. Liwan
recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Business in New Zealand. She joined the firm in January 2018 as a Legal Secretary. She supports the lawyers with managing their deadlines, collecting evidence and documents for visa applications and is a point of contact for our clients. Cori is originally from the Pearl of the Orient Seas, The Philippines and loves to travel with friends, enjoys taking care of dogs and is also a 1st Dan black belter in Karatedo.
is from Albay, Philippines. She has completed a Diploma in Business Level 7 from the New Zealand School of Education. As an Administrative Assistant, her role involves drafting letters and emails and providing assistance with general administrative and legal work. Danica enjoys reading books and has her own blog.
graduated with a Bachelor of Honours in Business Management, and holds a Diploma in Information Communication Technology. With over 7 years of experience in administration, she is able to work well with our team of lawyers and administration staff. In her role as an Administration Assistant, she supports the lawyers with the preparation of applications, opening client files and other general administrative work. Bairavi is originally from Jaffna, Sri Lanka and speaks fluent Tamil. When she is not working, she enjoys watching movies, gardening and listening to music.
Supriya Mutharasu is originally from Banglore, India. She has completed a Graduate Diploma in Management from New Zealand and Singapore.
She joined our firm in 2017 and is currently working in an administrative position. Her duties include collecting documentation and assisting the legal staff with administrative work.Supriya enjoys working out, travelling and dancing.
